Family-run since 1978: your 4-star hotel in Tyrol

At the Alphof, you’ll discover what true hospitality means: room for your wishes, space to breathe, and a team that dedicates themselves heart and soul to your holiday. We’re now the second generation to run our 4-star hotel in Tyrol with loving attention to detail and an eye for what really matters. We truly believe that it’s you, our guests, who make our hotel what it is. A place where people come together, filling it with life and love.

Have a wonderful time,
The Krösbacher family

Grüß Gott, and welcome. I’m your host and I really like my job.
To me this has never been just a hotel. It’s somewhere people gather, eat well, talk, laugh, and – I hope – feel something close to at home.
I like to greet guests myself and have a proper conversation rather than a polite exchange at the desk.
In my experience it isn’t the grand gestures that stay with people. It’s a good tip about where to walk, a word at the right moment, a laugh over breakfast.
These mountains and the people who live in them mean a great deal to me, and that’s what I’d most like you to take home with you.
Nothing pleases me more than seeing a guest leave smiling. Hospitality isn’t just my job – it's what I’m made for.

Welcome! I run the hotel, and I'm glad of the chance to show you a bit of our corner of Tyrol as well as the place itself.
Besides the hotel, I’m deputy mayor of the village. It mostly means turning up for people and getting things done for the community – which suits me.
I also farm. The animals, the land, the early starts: it’s hard work, and I wouldn’t give it up. It’s how I grew up and it’s kept me grounded.
There’s a thread running through all of it: staying down to earth, looking out for each other, being straight with people. That’s what we try to give our guests. You’re not just booking a room; you’re staying in a place where someone’s genuinely pleased you came.
I look forward to meeting you.

The Stubaital valley is legendary for its guaranteed snow in winter: skiing in the Schlick 2000 ski area or on the Stubai Glacier, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, and so much more.

A fantastic vacation!
The Hotel Alphof is a great hotel! The room was very clean, the food was great. The best part about the hotel was its staff, who were incredible.

How it all began at our 4-star hotel in the Alps

  • In 1978, Josef and Elfride Krösbacher opened the 3-star Hotel Alphof in the heart of Fulpmes. At that time, the hotel had 45 beds and an à la carte restaurant. They ran the Alphof together for 36 years.
  • In 2014, Roman and his wife Nicole took over the hotel from his parents. In the same year, the entrance area, kitchen, stairwell, and our popular Zuckerhütl room category were completely refurbished.
  • In 2015, the bar was refurbished and the garden was redesigned.
  • In 2017, our double rooms underwent a complete refurbishment.
  • In 2018, the entire façade was refurbished; in 2019, the Stube Serles dining room was built.
  • In 2021, the Pinnistal dining room was given a fresh look with new upholstery and seating, and the wood was sandblasted.
  • In 2022, the AlpSpa and the Lieblingsplatzl room category underwent a complete refurbishment, and we were awarded 4-star status.
  • In 2024, the suites were redesigned.
  • In 2025, the restaurant was extended. The Habicht adults-only lounge and a children’s play area for our younger guests were also created.
  • In spring 2026, the exterior façade was renovated with natural stone, and the area in front of the hotel was completely resurfaced.
  • Coming soon: many more exciting new features in autumn 2026

The Alphof is always on the move. Our vision: through every thoughtful refurbishment and redesign, we aim to create the space you deserve on your holiday.
